On the Edge of Green

These works are primarily informed by the memory of place. They are most often connected to the rural landscape, where its boundaries, enclosures and filmic vistas resonate in an elemental way. Often aerial in perspective, they are produced by a controlled interplay between colour and shape while allowing the possibility of surprise. The paintings become a way of sustaining the residual effect of place and its effect on the psyche.
